When launching the game you are getting the error message: Negative Delta Time

To solve the issue, follow these steps:
1) Right click on the Land of the Dead icon
2) Choose the properties option
3) Click on the compatibility tab on the menu that appears
4) Put a check mark in the "Run this program in compatibility mode"
5) In the dropbox underneath choose "Windows 98/Windows Me"

The game should be able to run now.

Land of the Dead: Machine Gun (level 12) crash

We are currently researching the cause of this specific issue.
Please send us a DirectX diagnostics file of your computer so that we can find out more about its internal components and better address your problems.

The following are steps to create such a file and e-mail it back to us at support@groovegames.com
1) Go to the Start menu.
2) Click on the "Run..." command.
3) Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter. It will take a few moments to collect information, so be patient.
4) Click the DISPLAY tab and make sure you run all available tests.
5) Click the button that says "save all information".
6) Attach this file in a reply to this e-mail.

In the mean time you can skip this specific level with the following commands:
1) In the game, Press ~
2) Type, without the double quotes, "open ch13a" and press enter
3) Type, without the double quotes. "weapons" to get access to all weapons

This will bring you to the next level with all weapons.
We will let you know when we find a solution to this problem.

"Failed to initialize the renderer. Please ensure your video card meets the minimum requirements, your video drivers are up to date, and you are running the required version of Microsoft DirectX®."

RESOLUTION:

These messages mean that your video card does not properly support the features required by the game. Specifically, your card does not support Hardware Transform and Lighting functions, often referred to as Hardware T&L. Essentially, it's a portion of the math and setup for the graphics that the video card handles instead of the main CPU. We recommend at least a nVidia Geforce 2 or ATI Radeon 7200 video card for these games.

Note that Intel-based video chipsets do not currently support Hardware Transform and Lighting. To determine if you have an Intel video chip, follow these steps: 1) right click your desktop and select PROPERTIES 2) click the SETTINGS tab 3) click the ADVANCED button 4) click the ADAPTER tab and look at the ADAPTER section.

Patch v.1.02 - Version 1.02 patch

This patch will upgrade retail version 1.00 or patched version 1.01 of Combat: Task Force 121 to version 1.02. Note that patch version 1.02 incorporates new fixes, as well as all version 1.01 fixes.

Version 1.02 addresses the following issue: 1 - Fixes an issue in the single player campaign mode where some sounds could not be heard after completing a mission (fixed in patch version 1.01). 2 - 3D + EAX sound support added to the Audio menu. 3 - Dedicated server now runs in GUI window and is much more stable.

This file is self extracting (once you have downloaded it, just double-click it). The patch will automatically detect where your version of Combat: Task Force 121 is installed. Once the file has been extracted, you can run Combat: Task Force 121 normally. You will know the patch has been successfully installed if you see "v1.02" on the bottom right corner of the main menu.

Version 1.01 patch - Click here to download (approx. 30MB)

This patch will upgrade your version of WWII SNIPER to Version 1.01 (from the Retail Version 1.00).

Version 1.01 addresses the following issues:

1. Mission "Crossroads" - Difficulties at the third checkpoint Some people have reported that they are running out of time prematurely at this checkpoint. We've investigated the issue and have found the root of the problem. The timer was not displaying, and the countdown was being started too early. Both of these issues are fixed.

2. Mission "Countryside" - Dead allies can't open gates This bug has been reported to us a few times. The scripting to make other soldiers open the gates can break in certain situations. This issue is fixed.

This file is self extracting (once you have downloaded it, just double-click it). The file will ask you where to extract the patch to. It will automatically select the main default directory for the game (C:\Program Files\Groove Games\World War 2 Sniper\). If you have installed the game somewhere else, you will have to browse to the main WWII SNIPER directory where you originally installed the game. Once the file has been extracted, you can run WWII SNIPER normally.

PLEASE NOTE : After installing the version 1.01 patch, you must start a new game for the patch to properly take effect. Your existing save games will no longer work.
